There are two different types of batteries. On the one hand alkaline batteries (so-called air-oxygen batteries) and on the other hand zinc-carbon batteries. Both battery versions supplied by horizont are mercury and cadmium free and therefore very environmentally friendly.

Alkaline battery (9V):

The special feature of alkaline batteries is the voltage curve. These batteries maintain a constant high voltage almost over the entire service life and thus guarantee a high level of protection over the period of use – even when using powerful battery devices.

Operation of a pasture fence device with battery and solar panel:

Operation of the device is possible during the day when there is sufficient sunlight via the panel.
At night the operation runs via your 9 V battery.

Attention: The battery is not charged via the solar panel!
